I really want my next Convoy to be an LHP73B
but I’m having a hard time deciding between the M21K and the L7. I’m sure most people here will say I should get both. I’m aware of the size and capacity difference. I do miss the mag style feel and the L7 would make a great emergency light. I just think I might end up using the M21K more. Help me decide! Thanks for any thoughts or recommendations!

I have a l7 sbt90 and it is big. Good for throw so for throw I would prefer the best, sbt 90. My lhp73b is in a Convoy M21g good mix between spill and throw and feel like a mini l7 in in hand. The size of M21g is a lot smaller than l7 but the thermal management is very good, it run cool. Check the m21j if you prefer TIR.
I have both. M21K is pretty awesome, driver is very nice and advanced. The L7 also basically holds full brightness.

The L7 will force you to always use the two same batteries in it so they age at a similar pace. Otherwise, one battery might end up recharging the other when you use the light. I personally find this quite unpractical and would not use such a light for this reason.
