As soon as they were announced I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one. I love spyderco exclusives but the truth is they don’t have much variety to them when it comes to looks. Not only was I happy to see something different but I loved these scales.
Only thing is I don’t like natural patina on my blades so I knew I was gonna have to keep it oiled which is a pain to keep up with. I was wishing I knew someone local who could acid wash the blade for me so I didn’t have to worry about it. Well two weeks after I bought one from REC(still hadn’t even carried it), my buddy sent me a link showing this one for sale. Someone had already done what I wanted. I instantly bought it. Now I have the other one to keep pristine as a collection item & this one as a regular user.
