About 2/3 of my EDC lights have been 18650s, so I wanted to get some spares. I saw these on 18659.com and thought “that’s a great deal, and Panasonic is a good brand!”
Then I got suspicious, because the deal seemed too good, and what little I learned about flashlight batteries made me think “if it’s a good price it’s either a scam not meant for flashlights.” So I assumed they would not be good choices. 10mah appears to be the minimum acceptable for flashlights but what does this other stuff mean, and what do I need to look for? I definitely don’t need any explosions or meltdowns.
I don’t need the best, but best bang for buck would be nice. Please feel free to ELI5.
