Anyone have one of these for a little longer than I have – been carrying this one for a few months now and found it to be acceptable quality overall, comfortable in the hand and the patina of the brass handle is just starting to change with use.
The blade from all indications looks to be true Damascus steel, whatever quality thereof I am unsure. It's held an edge pretty well with the little jobs asked of it.
The little pouch it comes with is what seems acrylic coated leather and is stitched well, but no clip and just slips into the pocket, and thought it slipped out and lost it – lost it since 24 Dec 2025 (just found it at the bottom of a duffle bag).
Otherwise for the $10 AUD I got it for, seems to tick off a few boxes for a simple, non locking folder.

Research higonokami pocket knifes, the blade is made with 3 layers of steel. They have been carried by the Japanese since the early 1900s. There is only 1 maker of these knives. Lots are fakes.
