I see a lot of discussion on these two, so let’s test. No, my measuring devices are not “lab” grade but they work for what we need.
Acebeam L35v2 has the XHP 70.3 Hi 4000K R70. Convoy M21K has LHP73B 5000K. Tests were with stock Acebeam 21700 and 50PL charged to full each time. Convoy was “high” 2C not the turbo 2H.
*The L35v2 appears to have a timed thermal step down, somewhere around 90 seconds. Looks like others measured similar; Acebeam appears to target around 45 C.*
Convoy’s new 20.5A driver appears to have active thermal management right up to its 65 C limit. Queue the Project Farm “Very Impressive”.
TL DR: M21K sustains around 2060 lumens with no cooling, 3000 lumens with active cooling. L35v2 sustains around 1050 lumens.
