I’m relatively new to hand sharpening, and am using a 400/1200 diamond stone, and I can not seem to get this knife sharp. I’ve gotten all of my kitchen knives scary sharp and most of my other pocket knives pretty sharp, I love the design and feel of this little cheap knife for a beater but i cannot get a good edge on it , it’s my only 8cr13mov blade so I don’t know much about it but surely a 400 grit diamond stone should be plenty for reshaping this steel grade right?

    the blade is very narrow (in terms of edge to spine) so it’s harder to hold a consistent angle.

  2. I got no help for you but I have a D2 leek that’s the same way. It came to me dull and no matter what I do I can’t get an edge on it. I wonder if the treat on it was bad, it’s one of those composite blades
