Hi, I´m back after the holidays! This is my first time making a review of a Manker flashlight, I hope you like the review!

This is the E02 III, a mini flashlight made by MankerLight, it is powered by a single 10440 or AAA cell, and uses a single not specified LED, in this case a 6500K LED, it has a max of 560 lumens with Li-ion or 170 lumens with AAA, has efficient constant current drivers with both type of cells, and features USB-C charging.

• Box contents [7th picture]:

– E02 III

– USB-C charging cable

– Extra o-ring

– Stainless steel clip

– Instructions manual

Price:

The price of this flashlight is currently $25.95 on Manker´s official website and $20.76 on AliExpress.

Body and build quality

It´s made of the AL6061-T6 aluminum alloy and has a very nice Type-III hard black anodizing. Other colors are available too: Army green, red, blue and orange. The stainless-steel clip has two positions to be attached to the battery tube. The tail cap is unscrewable for swapping the battery.

The TIR Lens is not covered by glass.

The button is made of bead blasted 304 Stainless-steel, this gives it a kind of stone washed finish that feels very nice and premium. [8th picture]

It has an O-ring at the tail cap, and the rest of the flashlight is completely sealed, making it IP68 water resistant.

The tail cap has a magnet for attaching to metal surfaces. [9th pictures]

The body of this light is small and pocketable, perfect for EDC.

Here is a size comparison with 2 other flashlights, the S2+ and the ST10. [10th picture]

Weight and size

Weight: 23.9 g (without battery) – Super Light, great for EDC

Size: 72.3mm (length) x 15.2mm (diameter)

Battery, runtime, and charging

This flashlight has a dual fuel feature, this means you can use 10440 lithium-ion cells or AAA sized batteries (Ni-MH, alkaline, Lithium…) [11th picture]

This light has USB-C charging on the battery, not on the body. [12th picture]

Modes, Runtimes, Throw, Candela: I will include a picture of the Manker official info so you can have all the information about it! [14th picture]

Emitter, reflector, beam, and CRI:

This flashlight has a 6500K floody LED, sadly the LED is not specified. I know there is a Nichia 519a high CRI 4000K version of it, I would love that version too as I prefer warmer CCTs and high CRI, but the 6500K one shines at the efficiency and raw power illumination.

The Turbo mode steps down pretty fast, it lasts some seconds with max lumens, and it starts dropping the brightness. High takes longer to step down, around 2 to 3min, other modes doesn´t seem to drop significantly. This fast stepdown is expected in a light so small and with a lot of lumens like this, it still packs a punch for some seconds in turbo.

Now about the Moonlight mode, OH MY GOD. This flashlight has one of the best moonlight modes I´ve ever tested! By holding the button for around 2 seconds, you can access the moonlight modes, it has 3 levels of brightness in the moonlight mode: 2 lumens, 1 lumen and 0.1 lumen! This is AWESOME, the 0.1 lumen is absolutely fantastic, it has a perfect brightness for using when you need to see something in the dark but can´t have a light cannon on. Loved the moonlight.

Beamshots Camera settings: 35mm lens 1.6" F5.6 ISO100 [15th picture]
The distance where the light can no longer reach is around 70m, so pretty good throw for a flashlight so tiny powered by a 10440 cell.

Driver and UI

This flashlight uses efficient drivers, both for 10440 and AAA, this means sustained output, less heat and better runtimes! Single click to turn it on, hold to change between brightness levels.

It has quick access to Turbo, you can double-click the button when it is ON or OFF to access it.

It does have memory mode, both for moonlight modes and standard modes, Turbo is not memorized

To access strobe, SOS and beacon you can triple click it at any time, and hold the button to cycle between them,

As an EDC light, the essential feature of the electronic lockout is present in this light! To lock the light you need to long press it 5 times, same for unlocking. I tried it and found it a little hard to do, but as I have heard it is better than previous versions lockouts.

Conclusion:

The E02 III is a great tiny flashlight, it has essential features like lockout, AWESOME moonlight, turbo easy access, USB-C charging and dual fuel option, which is really great for emergency and EDC lights. Nice to see it has efficient drivers, this really improves the light a lot. This is light is very useful and has great quality, if you want you can get a head band for it too.

Pros:

-Efficient drivers

-Dual fuel

-Thin and light

-Sturdy clip

-Magnet

Cons:

-The TIR doesn´t have glass in front of it

-Steps down quickly

-Lockout a little complicated to access

Thank you MankerLight, for sending this flashlight for review.
*I am not being paid to do this review, I received the flashlight for reviewing, everything here is my honest opinion.
