I found this today in a box of bits been thrown out of a house clearance. When I was a lad in the 80s Mag-lites were about as cool as it gets, and bloody expensive, and that's before you budgeted for those big D batteries.

My god, these are so dim! Had to Google the spec…. I kid you not these are 27 lumens.

I've found an LED upgrade kit, that's makes this over 400 lumens. I have a few old pencil mags that may be worth the upgrade, this though I'm not sure?
It's beautifully made and a pleasure to hold and use to be fair.
You tend not to notice progression in tech until you go backwards I guess.
