I’ve always wanted just a really good thrower that’s got maximum distance. Normally I’d go with a warmer higher CRI emitter, but am thinking if I’m going for full power probably best to stick with say a SFT-6500?

If you want something impressive with good reach, even with a large hotspot, and high lumens, I’d go for either the SBT90.2 or the FFL909MX.

If you want tight beam and the ultimate throw – W2.2 – the smaller the die is – the tighter the beam is going to be. SBT90,2 is a bright emitter but the die is large and will never have the throw of w1/w2 emitters.
My K1 with W2.2 blows every other light out of the water when it comes to throw. In comparison my KR1 with SBT90.2 (granted it is a much smaller reflector) it is kind of meh …
