I was trying to sharpen my Esee 4 1095 steel blade and I feel like this thing just does not get it sharp. It works great on my benchmade adamas cruwear steel.
Not sure if I’m just doing it incorrectly?

These maintain most my blades to an almost hair picking sharp
If you know what you’re doing, it can get knives incredibly sharp.
Yes, you can easily get hair popping sharp knives. I exclusively sharpened with this exact sharpener for several years.
One caveat is that for larger knives you may need to sharpen it in segments since you’re limited by the size of the plates compared to a standalone diamond plate. It just takes a bit longer is all. And you’re married to doing all knives at that 20° angle which was never a problem for me.
