I swapped the 5000k 5009r that came in my L50 to a 4000k. The 5000k was very green .006 on my opple and the recent 4000k samples seem to be more neutral. Unfortunately this one is a little too rosy for my taste so I’m either going to sell it to someone who prefers that tint or try some of the other emitters that came in the strip.
Takeaways are:
-The wires landing on the mcpcb are incredibly short, the insulation was already a little mangled from the factory and I managed to not make it worse.
-The pointed cosmetic q tips are awesome for cleaning up. I’m trying to do my emitter swaps more cleanly and these help.
-I’ve used progressively more flux with each emitter swap and I feel like the results are improving each time.
