So I bought this sodbuster only because I haven’t seen them in red before. I already have the black and the yellow handled sodbusters. After the first use and it being in my pocket while I was profusely sweating I got a couple rust spots on the blade. I saw some videos online about how to patina your knife. I tried using the hot vinegar, and it gave it a nice uniform darkness on the blade except for those rust spots. I hit the rust spots beforehand with some scotch bright pads because I don’t have steel wool. I also didn’t want to use anything more abrasive to potentially mess up my new blade. I saw an old post on this subreddit about putting the knife in a grapefruit, and I wanted to post my results. Unfortunately this is late night science, so I did not take any beforehand pictures. It isn’t the prettiest result but I do really like it. Thank you to the old post that gave me the idea!
