Morning guys, i found this maglite at the dump not too long ago. I live in Italy and these things are pretty hard to come by so i really want to try and fix It. Problem Is, i can't unscrew the part where the batteries go. Feels like someone put loctite inside, i tried svitol and wd40 and It does not work.
Do you know of any other method/products i can use to solve this problem.

Get some heat on it from a heat gun, blow torch or hairdryer if you have nothing else. Make sure you wear gloves and as it gets hot use a pair of water pipe pliers to undo it. Good luck, that should definitely help.

The reason why you can’t open it and why someone dumped it: The batteries have leaked, corroding the body of the flashlight and welding the tailcap threads. Even if you can get it open, you probably have to drill out the batteries and replace the springs. But chances are high the threads are already gone.

Have you tried temperature shock freeze it then heat the tube part, if all fails you could probably cut it and then rethread it to make it -1D model
