I can't figure out what these are. I thought they were proximity sensors at first, like some other lights have to dim the light if something gets too close on higher power. But that is not the case. They don't appear to be screws. Also interesting how they are hollowed out through the plastic filter, almost as if they were an emitter. Anyone know what they could they could be?

    I could be wrong but they look like they are legs to align the lens.

    Mounting studs (or maybe screws) for the lens.

    If you have a D3AA or some other multi-emitter light you will notice they also have them. Very common.
