Is it me or is the quality of this lacking? I was super excited to get this from my wife for Christmas. It was a replacement for one I lost about a year ago. I love this knife and I was really excited to get my hands on a new one. My question is if I’m being too picky? The spider hole is more of an oval, the tip is way off center, the grind is twice as high on one side and the lock bar sticks up almost 3/32nd”. This is my 5th Delica and second in K390. I just compared my s30v Delica to it and the fit and finish is knight and day. Also, the screw were super loose out of the box. Is this the new Spyderco quality standard or did I get a dud? Thanks!

The factory seconds I got in this year’s Mystery box look a lot better than that one. Sorry. I would defitely give them a call or try returning it where she bought it from.
Personally I’d send that back and get a new one. That is pretty poor quality control right there. Although nothing jumps out immediately upon looking at it, all those little issues add up to me and I wouldn’t be happy. Just don’t let it spoil your Christmas! Have a merry one!
I had to send my stupid expensive Cutlery Shop Para 3 back to get lined up. That was a few years ago.
I’m not an expert but that might be a fake.
I’ve never seen a Spydie hole that wasn’t perfectly round. That at best is a blem that should not have escaped the factory.
The edge not being fully sharpened looks suspicious. The etchings don’t look right either.
