Just finished this build and wanted to share it with the community.
Build details:
β’ Host: Convoy S11
β’ Emitters: 519A 2S2P
β’ 1Γ (5000K + 4000K) DD
β’ 1Γ (5000K + 4000K) D
β’ Driver: 6V 10A
β’ Optic: Wide-angle 10394 TIR from Hank
Thoughts:
The light itself is amazing. Love at first sight.
High CRI, very pleasant tint mix, extremely calming to the eyes β one of those beams that makes your eyes relax rather than fight the light.
BUT⦠the host is not ideal.
This thing gets crazy hot. Even at ~35% output it becomes a burn hazard within a few minutes β literally canβt hold it.
26650 with 15A continuous discharge only works for a limited time at 100%, needs at least 20A-25A – havenβt tried yet.
With reflector makes a dark spot in the middle- needs TIR.
Thermal mass, heat dissipation and the CDR of the cell are clearly the limiting factors here.
Optic notes:
β’ The Hank TIR fits, but itβs not a perfect solution
β’ Way too floody for this setup
β’ Designed for 5050, not 7070, so the outer part of the LEDs isnβt being used efficiently
β’ Would really benefit from more throw and a better-matched optic
π Looking for recommendations:
What host would you suggest for a 519A 2S2P / 6V 10A setup that can actually handle the heat properly?
Iβd happily rebuild this in a more suitable host.
Merry Christmas everyone π
Stay bright β and donβt burn your hands π

Nice tint man. Gives me resident evil vibes, looks like future RE 10 on future rtx 6090
Can we see the actual flashlight?
