I am looking for a new flashlight. I am looking for an upgrade and I would like to treat myself this Christmas.

What I am currently carrying in my pocket is this small generic flashlight, Mini High Power Flashlight was the name on the box(see pictures). 750 lumens.
-The feature that I like are it's small size, fits comfortably in my pocket, it has USB-C charging, bright for size and the button has a battery level indicator led(green and red).
-Features that I don't like the torch has too many modes(bright, dim, strobe and SOS), the button is easily pressed in my pocket, the battery is a 18500 which are pretty difficult for me to come by where I live.

I like the form factor of the flat flashlights considering the Olight arkfeld Ultra or arkpro ultra, the Nebo Edge 2k or the Sofirn ST1. Or the Olight Baton 4. I live in South Africa and don't have access to the widestrange of brands or models.

Warranty is something that is pretty important to me. Also plan on laser engraving my name on my new flashlight.

Any advice or recommendations are greatly appreciated.

My EDC is a Olight Warrior Mini 3. IMO it has the best UI on the market which is why I carry it.

My main requirements for a light are a tail switch that always has immediate access to its brightest mode and USB charging. I refuse to carry a light where you have to multi press the tail switch to cycle brightness/strobe levels. I always end up on the wrong one.

The Olight Warrior series has 2 buttons. The tail switch is a shallow press for medium and a deep press for bright and a side switch that you can press to turn on or press and hold to cycle among all the brightness levels. The side switch remembers your last brightness you cycled to even after you press the tail switch. The two buttons are completely isolated from each other.

You get a 100% predictable always bright light from the tail switch when you need it and a finely controllable light from the side switch when you don’t.

The only downside to the USB charging is that you need an Olight proprietary USB charger. I have enough of them at this point that it’s not an issue for me to carry one in my EDC bag as well as a few other places. My only requirement was to be able to charge it from a USB battery bank and I can do that.

Keep in mind that the Warrior series lights are the only Olights with this UI. The Arkfeld and Baton series do not have a tail switch. The Arkfeld would be my perfect light if it did.

I’ve always had good experiences with Olight customer service, but I have had to contact them a few times throughout the years.

If you need durability Olight and Nitecore are good, if you want hotrod power go with Emissar / Noctigon

Are you looking for a flat light like the Olight Arkfeld?
