I have a Benchmade bugout that I thought I could put some new scales on and didn’t look at any YouTube videos until it was too late and now I can’t do anything with the parts !! It is a 535 that came with blue scales and I tried to out those purple scales on it to no avail !!
This is a call out to someone with way more skills than I have. Anyone here wanna help me out? I’ll pay you 💰

Well, you have all the pieces to a knife in front of you, and you were able to take it apart.
My suggestion is take a break, maybe walk away for a day or so, watch the disassembly and reassembly video a couple times so you know how everything goes, and keep working on it. Sometimes all one needs is a refreshed mind and a new perspective.
It’s difficult the first/couple times, but once you get the technique down it’ll be much easier for you, and you’ll be able to do a full service on your knife too.
Maybe once every year or so I like to fully disassemble my carry knives and fully clean every piece of pocket lint, dirt, grease, sand, I’ll check over the pivot washers, lock mechanism, and relubricate after putting a fresh edge on it.
Well you’re first problem is, it looks like you’re attempting to put real aftermarket Bugout scales on a fake Bugout.
