Snagged my first imalent light. I’ve always looked at this brand mainly because of the big boy MS32 but really wanted to give their company a shot so when I found the LD70 on a crazy sale I snagged it. Now after getting it and playing with it for a while I’m still honestly not sure how I feel about it. Don’t get me wrong, it feels like insanely high quality and has a beyond respectable form factor but I’m just not fully on board yet. I can’t decide how to carry it honestly. Do I store it in its charging case at all times? Do I lanyard it and toss it in the pocket? Almost just feels mildly confusing on what to do with it lol. I love the look of this light though as well as how nice it feels. The little screen is kind of nice to show you the lumens on whatever setting you’re currently using as well as the ability to check battery voltage. It’s got the Cree XHP70.2 emitter which does pack a decent punch for how little this thing is. Has a maximum turbo output of 4000 lumens but man it gets toasty in a hurry. The settings go from 20 lumens, 200 lumens, 900 lumens, 2000 lumens then turbo at 4000 lumens. I don’t particularly care for the shroud on the charging box however. I don’t like that it’s just a weird magnetic piece of material that can fully be removed and basically almost needs to be fully removed to get the light out. I’m gonna EDC this one for another week or so to see if I end up swaying one way or the other on liking it or not. Anyone own one of these and if so how do you feel about it? What is another solid semi budget friendly option to try next from these guys?
