That piece of metal between the scales is the liner. Push it to the side it’s on.

It’s a liner lock. With the sharp edge of the knife facing you, look into the frame, and see the piece of metal bent to your right ? Place your thumb on the part with the ruffled waves in the metal (jimping), and push it to the left, to start, with your other hand, put it on the dull back edge of the knife and gently push it toward the handle. Once it is out of the locked position, you can remove the thumb from the liner lock piece and close the knife.

That’s a liner lock. It’s the piece of metal that you can see hitting the butt of the knife from inside the handle – it’s flexible. Push the liner lock to the side to let the knife fold back into the body.
At the 0:02 mark, that thin piece of metal, with the bumps on it, that sits behind the blade. You need to press that across, towards the pocket clip side, then carefully fold the blade.
