My current knives (left to right) –
Spyderco Para 3 LW w/ awt scales & zip tie
Benchmade Mini Adamas w/ snaggletooth
Cold Steel Recon 1 w/ snaggletooth
The Mini Adamas is my favorite, and the only one I actually carry every day. If I could get another knife thats just like it I would but they are a little too expensive.
I use it alot for prying things open and all sorts of tasks thats probably not the best for it. It's opened and broken down tons of boxes, I use it for everything. Does not stay sharp very long however. I love the smooth action of the Benchmade style lock. I would prefer something with a benchmade style lock, or maybe one that has a button on the side like the Civivis, so I can fidget open and close it fast holding the lock down.
I broke the tip off the Spyderco a few times from dropping it on the tip and prying stuff open with it, so that blade is probably too thin. The Recon 1 is just too insanely large, I would Maybe use it for camping or something if it ever left the house. New knife needs to be able to take a beating.
As you can see all of my knives have been modded to wave open, I would say this is mandatory for me now, I love that feature. So the new one would have to work with a snaggletooth. Not a big fan of the cheap Emerson kershaw series that wave open, they seem cheaply made from when ive tried them, and the wave opening claw is too small.

TLDR:
features I want –
Thick blade that can pry things open with
Benchmade or Civivi button style action
Wave opening (can be with snaggletooth mod)
Simular size to Mini Adamas (my favorite)
Budget would be around $150.
Thanks!
