Is that not Damasteel? They’re both beautiful and highly desirable pieces, but personally I can never reconcile the stark symmetry of those lines/layers. To me, the appeal of real damascus is in the snowflake-unique natural irregularity of the pattern. Sort of like the perceived value of a synthetic vs a wood rifle stock, while the plastic stock tends to be significantly more robust and lighter, I think most would judge the wood option as having the higher quality, more premium appearance.
