Thinking of swapping the emitter on this. It currently uses a 6v linear driver so thinking an FFL707a should be a drop in for this. The lens is made of glass so I might need get a glazer involved for this mod. What do you guys think?

It should work fine. Its a metal housing, and the glass won’t melt or anything.
I wouldn’t go above 800 lumens, personally, unless you want to start machining custom heat sinks for this thing.
I think someone made a “battery box” for these old lights that held a bunch of 18650s. I’ll try to find the post. I think it was an ever ready captain lantern, but same style of light and same battery.
