Hello wonderful people. So I was mindlessly browsing a local classified ads platform and came across this light. At 12 bucks with an LG Choco, it was a no brainer. However, I don’t know much about this light. As you can see, cosmetics, it’s not in good shape but I won’t lose sleep over it. Can you tell me more about this light? All I’ve noticed so far is that the copper head heats up quickly. Is this also a fake Emisar? Based on what I’ve seen online, it should have a marking on the bottom of the tailcap. And I’m pretty sure this isn’t its original clip. TIA.

It’s undoubtidly a “real “ Emisar. As far as it heating up quickly, this light is a so-called “hot rod.” what that means is, while some lights would limit their upper output to be a duty cycle, meaning that you can run them at their upper limit for long extended periods of time, this light will easily exceeded safe limits at its brightest outputs. Users of a light like this, are used to running it for very short periods of time maybe 10 to 20 seconds at the highest outputs. The highest outputs are also known to set fire to paper and pockets.
The user interface is quite complicated, so you’ll want to look up a user manual on Anduril. This light looks to be made out of aluminum, which usually runs about $40-$50. So you did very well on the price.
