Spyderco has an incredible warranty even without proof of purchase. I would send it to them first to see if they can do anything for you.
Might also help to let them know your long history with the blade & how it saved your life twice, they seem like a great bunch of people over there.

Why not just replace it with a new one?
Alternatively the Black Talon II is a CS offering that is much the same, just with better steel, a more aggressive “hook” (like the Civilian), and a Demko Triad (instead of a Boyle).
