I’ve kept my
• Emisar DT8 W2
• Nite Ize S-biner (absolutely incredible, never failed)
Figuring I’d branch out, I’ve bought:
• Victorinox Classic SD Alox (Sweet Cherry)
• Titaner TiSpanner 2.0
These are my true EDC tools, as I keep a knifeless Rebar w/ Nite Ize Pocket Clip on my bag.
For a few years I’ve wanted to consolidate the weight of the Squirt, and size of the Vox & Centipede. The TiSpanner was a Kickstarter (arrived today), but should fit the bill for my needs well. Combining the SD with a knifeless Rebar should pretty much solve nearly all of the challenges I come across on a daily basis.
The DT8 in W2 is just incredible. I’ve only been tempted to upgrade it to an Acebeam Terminator M1, but don’t think it’d be too pocket friendly.
Look forward to seeing how the TiSpanner fits into the fold and what the overall pocket feel of the new kit will be like down the line!

The DT8 with W2 LEDs, with a good enough battery to not bottleneck the current, is a freaking lumen canon. Probably doesn’t sustain long due to the heat, but for that first 30 seconds, you can probably convince a few people they’re being abducted by aliens.
I’d say there was the Terminator M2 for a more pocket friendly option, but iit’s not going to match up to that LEP in the M1. If you’re looking for more range, you might check out the DM11 SBT90.2. That one has been working its way into my pocket lately. It’s pretty impressive for a all-rounder that leans to the thrower side.
