This is basically the most expensive knife I own and the pattern of fat carbon I got is kinda ruining the experience for me. Any ideas on what I can do? I’d rather not return it because they’re sold out on bhq and that’s where I bought it. I’ll post a picture of the lock side scale for comparison. That one looks sweet

That’s the nature of fat carbon. You never know what you’re going to get and each one is unique. Get over it and enjoy it. It’s good looking! Or sell it if you just can’t stand it…..😎
well you can return … My micarta one was low risk, but I wouldnt mind that polished DLC .. one of best on market.
If you like the clip side more you can always swap the inserts. Then the clip covers up a lot of the one you don’t like. If you don’t like either then you’re stuck with it or you could do a return/exchange if the seller allows

I’d return it if you aren’t happy, these were just on sale for $170 so there’s stock in other stores. Kizer just dropped other Militaw color variants too, if you like those more. At this price point, you deserve to be happy with your purchase.

I happen to like it and it looks like a quality fitment.
You probably have 2 options:
1. Return it and repurchase with hopes your new pattern is better (you already disassembled it though so maybe that’s out of the question)
2. See if someone on here or r/Knife_Swap is willing to trade for their show side panel. No guarantees that it will be a flush fit but it’s a consideration.
