Folks, I’m pondering getting a Convoy S6, this time around with 519A (and then dedome myself). I’m aware that this won’t get as much throw as with other emitters, but all I’m looking for is just a bit more reach than my main light (Emisar D4k with dedomed 519A). Actually it would be nice if this Nichia S6 also has some all-round-capabilities – that’s where the orange peel reflector comes into the picture.
How trivial is it to switch the reflector? And how do I order it – I’ll want to order form Simon’s convoylight-site, and there is a listing for S6 reflector with a choice of orange peel or no, but I am unsure about the measurements.

actually the deep reflector which is kind of the point of getting a S6 in the first place? And for those who have experience with S6 with Nichia 519A – would you go orange peel or not? (I am aware that the OP-reflector will have shorter throw, but that would be okay. I once had a SFT40 S6 (with “shiny” reflector) and thought that the beam was actually not to “ringy” and quite good even close up, so I am thinking there’s a chance that an orange peel reflector might just have more drawbacks than actual gains in beam quality.
