First “Nice” knife I’ve purchased for myself and I made the poor mistake of not waxing it, and now it has this flash rust. How do I remove this without ruining the blade finish?

I used bartender’s friend to remove some “hot meat patina” and it worked great…it also states removes rust and tarnish and will not scratch.
