Sharpening

I recently took this knife to ace hardware to get it sharpened, and they got the nicks out of the blade, and it’s sharper than it was, but it still isn’t sharp. I can literally press my finger into my finger enough that it leaves an indent, but it doesn’t cut. I’ve seen some stuff about the lansky sharpening system, but the last sharpening kit I got ended up with a very rounded pair of scissor blades. Any recommendations?
