I lost a knife in a small section of the woods here and I need to find it before dark. I have searched a small area and I’m afraid it will be permanently lost, which is undesirable since it was given to me by my dead grandpa.
If anybody knows how to find metal objects in this environment, let me know, as I am kind of desperate to find this item.

Maybe you could find a guy on Facebook or Craigslist with a metal detector who’s willing to help you out.
