I’ve never had a flashlight get this hot before. It was impossible to hold even towards the tailcap after less than 5 minutes.
Measurements taken with an IR thermometer. The head reached 68 degrees C / 155 degrees F. Tailcap was too hot to touch. Was excited for a bright triple 219b light but this thing is waaay too hot to hold.
The AE listing says the there’s supposed to be temp management past 55C/131F but I did not observe any and didn’t want to risk damaging either the emitters or the battery.
I understand 219b runs hot but I can’t reasonably use this thing. Is this normal behavior from this host?

The tail cap being too hot to touch sounds like a bad sign!
