Just got this D3AA in today and Hank being the awesome person he is, obliged my request for a copper ring and this thing is just perfect.
Has Nichia 519a with 1/3 being dedomed 5000k. Great beam profile, hybrid between flood and throw. Surprisingly bright on a sustained high. This will make the small light carry choice pretty hard between my main 14500 lights.
Also as an added bonus it accepts Acebeam 14500 USBC cells 🙂
This might be the perfect small EDC light based on: value, size, runtimes, customization, battery type range, aux, Anduril 2, swappable optics, and most importantly custom emitter setups.
