It’s a cool multitool and proved useful in many everyday situations. Defs one of the best, if not the most used multitool I’ve used to date. Only drawbacks were weight and using the bit diver was annoying due to design.
So I’ve removed the pliers side and simplified the tool. It’s nothing new but it eliminates the weight and awkward screwdriver issue instantly. I never really used the saw, I’m an electrician so the wirecutters were useless and whe ever I needed pliers, either the head was too small or the applied pressure was too great (taking the damage to the palm via stupid pressure, multitools dont have the best handles).
It’s an expensive mod to essentially disregard majority of its function but the added mobility equates to greater availability. A tool is no use unless its on you and if it’s cumbersome, you’ll dread the extra.
I can’t help but want to improve it. There’s now a hollow void where the pliers would otherwise sit and a free bolt for filling 3d printed parts or adding tools.
I’ve seen some mods where they replace the knife sharpener with a bit holder but can’t help but feel a much better and useful function could be implemented.
Open to all ideas an suggestions, looking for assistance with 3d printing and happy to help in anyway I can; funding etc.
Initial ideas
-Adding a usb drive
-Mini flashlight clip that replaces knife sharpener. Allows a pen touch to be clipped on.
-Scissor tool replacement for knife/ tsa conversion option
-slim magnifying glass
-tweezer + toothpick
-mini pen
If we could develop one or two of these ideas or add better ideas, it would create a God tier edc imo.
Let me know ya thoughts.
