I was told at the all famous and trustworthy pawnshop in town that this is a fake Damascus blade. Is there a way these clowns can tell this is from Damascus. I don’t believe everything I see but this sure looks like a Damascus blade to me, a novice, of course!

Scratch it, fake ones are printed on..
It isn’t “fake” necessarily. It is multiple metals combined and layered. The issue is these usually 3rd world knife makers will use pot metal in their Damascus, meaning it’s beautiful garbage. Edge retention Is usually not existent.
