Ok, full disclosure: this arrived last week. But better late than never!

I’ve carried a Gerber Crucial for several years now and I’ve always liked it, but working in an office now means the toolset had become a little less than optimal. I had been on the lookout for something that wouldn’t break the bank but would better fit my day-to-day needs when I discovered the Roxon KS2E. This model has the upgraded D2 blade steel and the included 4mm bit set.

Some observations from carrying it for a few days:

– The scissors are some of the best I’ve ever used. Period. Multitool or not.
– The deep carry clip is great. Feels sturdy and it carries nicely. Better execution than the Crucial’s “deep carry” clip.
– The flathead screwdriver is a bit of an afterthought but the Phillips seems excellent.
– Fit is pretty good. I was a little worried seeing [some reviews](https://youtu.be/k_M30tVQVvs), but there’s no blade play at all.
– Everything (except the scissors) locks, and the deployment/lock mechanism for the secondary implements is fantastic.
– The toolset is near perfect for me. I don’t have much use for a saw but everything else is really handy.

Overall, it’s inexpensive, well thought out, seems well built, and has a solid toolset. Time will tell how well it’ll hold up, but so far it looks like a winner.
