I’m modding this old Teledyne Big Beam to modern LEDs. I got this LED Par36 I’ve disassembled and desoldered the LEDs from the board. Want to upgrade to high CRI or high output. I viewed them from my microscope (I do electronics repair as a job) and originally thought they were Cree XT-E’s. Well upon attempting to solder the new LED’s on I noticed they’re identical to Cree XT-E’s but 2.5mmx2.5mm. Anyone know of any good 2525’s that run on 3V?
I’ve also considered just giving a CSLNM1 a try, as I’ve used mismatched LEDs before that were only .5mm off in size, but I’ve always swapped with emitters that are .5 smaller, not larger. Any ideas would be appreciated. If you know of any 2525’s that are decent I’d love to know, alternatively if you’ve reflowed 2525 with any 3030’s that would be helpful too.
