Hey

Got a Gerber Suspension NXT for Christmas. Giver said they ordered from official website in my country… https://www.gerbergear.com.au/ but package arrived damaged and looked like it had been tampered with. Just want to see if you think it looks like a genuine product or if maybe it’s a counterfeit

I know Gerber isn’t a highly respected brand. But the tool does seem surprisingly low quality particularly for a brand new product. Scuff marks on body and screw heads, screw heads are damaged and rounded out, quite of bit of machine oil still on plier hinge and the whole thing just looks a bit pov

Hopefully you guys are able to assess from my photos. Interested to hear your thoughts!

Gerbers warranty in aus is great, just email them and they will give you a reply paid address to exchange. No questions asked, no receipt needed when I did it. The NXT is a decent tool and I think you will like it when you get a normal one.
