Amutorch has a new version of the DM70 out (on Taobao only) which has a USB-C port built into battery carrier like the DM80. Reflowed some XHP70.3 Hi 5700k 90 CRI into it (relplacing stock 6500k). Stock Purple AR lens replaced with 58mm Blue AR from Kaidomain to cut down on the green tint from the XHP70. I really wish this had an OP reflector because the beam has a lot of artifacts, but not too bad if you are not white wall hunting. No idea if is close to the quoted 23000 lumens and 660m, but it seems on par with my JKK76 SFN55.2 3000k there, so the numbers are believable.
XT70 reflowed with SFH55.2 3000k 90 CRI, reflector replaced with OP reflector salvaged from an XT60, and lens replaced with a Green AR Convoy lens sanded down to fit. Total guess, but it seems like it is putting out around 7000 lumens and 700m.
The DM70 I bought because I am hoping to mod a 6v SFY55 into it, which seems possible. The driver is definitely 6v and seems like north of 150 watts, so if I can find a 52mm x 20mm reflector with a wide enough aperture, and provided the SFY55s don’t get lost in the mail (fingers crossed), the SFY55 project is starting to seem doable.
But for now the DM70 seems pretty legit with the high CRI XHP70.3 Hi. Just wish the reflector wasn’t smooth…
