Benchmade 560BK-1 Freek w/ AWT Scales
Everyman Mini Twist
KeyUnity Ti Bead
So pleased with how this build turned out on my Freek. Ever since my short obsession with Bugout tinkering, I wondered if anyone was making scales for the 560. Did some looking around online, and found AWT is pretty much the only producer of scales for the Freek. Planned out this spec using their Charcoal Green Cerakote w/ black hardware and backs-pacer.
This is my first experience with something Cerakoted, so not sure if it will weather with time, but I’d like to assume the aluminum will withstand the test of time. If all goes well this knife should outlive me. (That’s the goal, at least) Still skeptical on the omega springs but we’ll see. The entire knife is loaded with KPL Lightweight/Original so the mechanism is butttterr.
One thing I will say is, tinkering with this one was the most obnoxious, tedious, annoying piece of $#!@! But hey, I always find it worth it in the end.
And the Everyman is not my fav, prefer a beefier, more fidgety pen. But for a basic, universal refillable, it’s probably great for casual use.
