Nah I bring a fixed blade and usually my swiss army knife, the 91mm ranger. I’m usually trying to keep the weight of my rucksack right down to a minimum.

Walking around with a big fixed blade on your belt at a drive-up public campground is overkill and can make people nervous, so I carry a folder instead.
And when I’m backpacking, I find it easier to carry a folder somewhere that doesn’t get in the way but is still easy to access than I do a fixed blade.

Yep. I took my spyderco Military 2 last time i went camping. Makes a great knife if you take a big chungoid of a fixed blade
