Had a victorinox rambler that I liked but lost it, got the midnite manager to replace it. I liked the idea of adding the pen and small flashlight. Hindsight, it’s nice having a convenient pen in a pinch but the normal manager would have been fine – I’ve used the flashlight maybe twice.
Found myself occasionally missing the tweezers but didn’t want to buy something else, opened this thing up and figured there was enough room with some modification. Took a dremel and made the gap between the hole and side and cleared a path for the length of the the tweezers. Also had to file away some of the inside of the plastic cover to make the path “deep” enough so everything sits flush.
When the tweezers are removed one of the brass rivets is slightly visible but no functionality is lost and it feels secure. There’s also a small crack in the plastic cover from having to go so thin on the curved edge next to where the entrance is. The rest of the path is thicker and the retention is maintained. All in all, I’m happy with the way it turned out.
