It seems if you remove and replace the scales, you can get a virtual replacement to an original SAK to those not discerning the difference. I assume these are Chinese knockoff and should expect somewhat inferior quality and no warranty.

The first image is a genuine Victorinox with the logo photoshopped out, the later images are what they’re actually selling. The differences are pretty noticable to me.
I’ve seen these same ones on AliExpress, sometimes for as little as four US dollars. At a price like that I’d expect the toolset to bend like cast pewter.
Don’t waste your money.
IF you are planing to not use it, I’ll say give it a try. But if you are using it everyday for work or want to depend on it for the long run, just buy the real thing. Its not that much of a difference.
I bought one from AliExpress. As expected, the quality is bad: the blade is a bit dull and the finishes are bad. However, it can be used for some light duty and can lead to test if you like the configuration of tools.
Just buy a real one, cheapskate!
