You’d lose access to a bunch of the interior tools if I’m understanding correctly where you want to weld it. Unless you mean welding it offset to the side of the handle.
If it’s any help, the folding bit driver that comes in the Surge is supposed to be compatible with the SuperTool 300. You could replace the large Phillips driver with one of these instead of doing any welding. People sell the parts on eBay.

That’s uh… well that certainly is an idea.

If you want to disassemble to tool without scuffing up the screws, use [these](https://www.ebay.com/itm/165531222361?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=doQgYIr8T1y&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=4Lw_hUrMQbe&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY). They come in pairs, no need to order two (you’d get four if you did). Sometimes you need to apply some heat to soften the Loctite and get the screws turning.
Wouldn’t the driver from a MUT make more sense? Granted it’s not going to drop in.
