I’m not sure what wrong with carrying a Civivi. The Civivi Elementum is one of the rated budget knives out there.

I carry a Civivi. Wonder who gave you crap about a good practical, affordable knife? Sure carry a $500 knife to open packages from Amazon. Really?
New to the knife world, but I’ve had zero issues with my Elementum the past few months. 🤷🏻♂️

Whoever gave you crap about a Civivi is not your friend. They are gatekeeping a hobby, which is not cool. Your Civivi is as capable as whatever they are carrying. Ask them what they actually use their knife for, or are they scared to scratch it? And if they do use it, can your Civivi do the exact same task with the same amount of effort? Inch for inch (of blade length), I say yes. Unless you go on a dockline cutting contest (which most owners of $500 knives will not), a Civivi is a perfectly competent cutting tool.
If I were in your shoes, I’d challenge this person to a cutting competition. You use an 8 dollar Opinel, and he his expensive folder. Cut hemp rope, sandpaper, abuse the hell out of the blade, and when your knife finally stops cutting… say “oh well, I guess you were right!” And proceeded to drop the 8 dollar knife in the garbage as you walk out, as he stares at a knife he will have to spend hours resharpening, if he even has the capability to do so.
I mean it’s a civivi elementum! I don’t own one but would, I see nothing wrong with them or very special either, nice clean design, decent price point, a lot of options/choices, don’t see what’s not to like,but to each his own, but you should never let others opinion/bother you, not saying that you are by any means, just commenting on all the division/animosity or superiority/postering over pocket knife, meanwhile almost no one has bothered to mention the beauty you posted! Sorry, could not help myself.
Not huge on customs, own none myself but more because of economics then choice, and if I did would probably use a civivi a lot more than a custom for a day to day carry/user. But hey whatever I am definitely not judging any one, only making an observation/commenting.
My go to is a Civivi carried a okc rat before that and a bench made before that for all my daily tasks the rat or civivi Handel it just as good as the bench made at a fraction of the cost
I am actually going to make the elementum my next knife now, was holding out for a McNess or Benza but always liked the clean asthetic just didn’t want to join the herd/the big deal, but just because of this/me inserting myself in all this that is! Lol sorry
I feel like no one should get shit for a civivi. They’re very good knives….was it someone who carries an expensive knife? I feel like if you carry expensive knives often, you also highly value cheap knives for the days you do things where you shouldn’t bring an expensive knife, often not an expensive anything.

I’ve got a handful of Civivis in my rotation and would absolutely refute anyone arrogant enough to give me shit for it. They are absolutely fine knives and by no means worse than other good knives in their price range.

I have had a Praxis mini for a week and have loved EVERY second of it fr. It does what i need it to and thats why i bought it. no other reason.
