I dont have any experience buying from Blade HQ but if they offer insurance as an extra, this is their way of motivating folks to buy it.

When I first purchased my Kizer Sheepdog they pulled that shit. I contacted their customer support when I went to purchase another knife, they gave me a discount and a box with no blue tape and all knife stuff covered with tape for my trouble.
This was a dumb decision on their part.
Everything about blade hq is embarrassing.
I guess reading it back I should clarify that my gf just lightly judges me for getting more knives but she isn’t stealing them like a porch pirate lol
I lost a hellhound from that shipping tape .
BladeHQ doing this, and SMKW bombarding your mailbox with crap, I have 2 retailers I won’t use.
I made the mistake of shipping something to work once from SMKW, and I get so much junk mail and knife catalogs there it’s embarrassing.
Sorry to hear that. I order from all the big online knife stores. I keep finding deals I can’t pass up on Blade HQ. It’s not an absolute fix… but our Ring doorbells seem to keep the sticky tweaker fingers at bay. We’ve had em for years and I’ll never not have them again. And I understand the importance of anonymity with pricey items, but then I’m also conflicted… I LOVE SEEING THAT BOX ARRIVE!
In the order notes you can write discrete package or something like that and they’ll send it in a plain box.
I stopped ordering from them when I got a bad knife. They said they couldn’t exchange it for a new one, that I would have to return it and just order it again. Dumb.
I’ve been lucky so far, but yeah… it’s so fucking stupid

I haven’t bought from blade hq in ages and don’t plan to anytime soon. I’m all about DLT Trading & knivesshipfree
