Can you shim it? I can’t imagine this is easy or effective though, maybe warranty?
I put them on a vise anvil and strike the pivot with a steel punch of a diameter slightly smaller than the pivot. I use a couple of baby taps at a time with an 8oz hammer. Works good, but they will loosen back up pretty quick if using them often for stuff beyond their “duty rating”.
