Arrived at my in-laws in the US, so finally got to see if I got one of the duds. Everything is pretty solid, with no gaps in the handles/rivets. Blades/scissors are sharp. Pliers head is pretty stiff though, and full of this dry greasy gunk. Still kind of annoyed about the price change.
