Pulled out my 21700 for a charge and realized it won’t charge because the spring in my X4Q Comet pushed down this section of the battery. Anyone have prior experience with this?

you don’t… Do not try to pry it, the negative terminal is just beside it, it will short.
Do not drop your flashlight…
If you want to drop it, you can make foam ring insert for it.
