I lost my beloved Titan Plus a few months ago at a concert, so I was shopping for a replacement. My first thought was the Prometheus Beta QR lights, but $200 is nuts. Then I looked at the Reylight Pineapple Mini. But the more I thought about it, I realized I mostly just use my Rovyvon A8U from 2019 that sits on my keychain (still works fine btw) so I decided to get another Rovyvon.

I considered the A4 Pro but the extra length plus more focused beam (wasted on a keychain light which is used for more close-up stuff usually) steered me away. Anyways, the A4’s def a nice step-up from the A8U. The build is great, the push-button actuates much better than the early ones they used, and the tritium inserts are 🔥. They also finally got good mode spacing. The 3-minute mode memory aspect is garbage, though, I don’t know what they’re thinking with that.

It does have parasitic drain like all e-switch lights; the Rovyvon rep told me it’d be fine sitting for 3-4 months but we’ll see. I get away with 4-5 months on my old A8U usually.

Pic next to a Nitecore Tini so you can see that the A4’s actually just a tiny bit bigger than the OG 130mah sized ones.
